March Cards

For March I used the Emporium Level 2 Paper Packet (X7105B). I really liked this paper packet. Usually there is at least one sheet of patterened paper that I really don't like, but I honestly like each pattern in this pack and all of the colors that were used. With that said, here are the cards:

Stamps used: March Word Puzzle (D1270)
Ink used: Cocoa (Z2114)

Stamps used: Spot on Backgrounds (D1280) for the polka dotted background

Ink used: Crystal Blue (Z2117)

Embellishment: Colonial White ricrac (Z1126)

Stamps used: The circular stamps I used for the background are not available for purchase, but the stamp set Connections (D1330) is very similar and is the one that I really wanted to use, I just didn't have it.
Ink used: Buttercup (Z2110), and Sweet Leaf (Z2153)
Embellishment used: Colonial White brads (Z1106)

Valentine's Day themed Thank You's

O.K., I have been very lazy about my postings. I think it is because I have been using a lot of retired stamps lately and so I feel bad and a bit overwhelmed about documenting every single stamp knowing that they can't be purchased anymore. So, instead of feeling bad about it I am just going to to ahead and post and if you have any questions about the stamps, you can just leave a comment or send me an email. With that said, here are some cards from February that I made for my mom (but have yet to give them to her).

For a girl

I made this card last week for a friend of mine. She needed a card to send with a gift to a friend of hers who had just had a baby girl. For some reason I have a bit of a hard time making baby cards. I think it is hard to come up with something that looks cute, but also appropriate for a baby. However, I think that this one turned out rather cute. All of the products are from CTMH, but the stamp set that I used has been discontinued. I used the Adorable paper pack and the Just Blooms paper flowers with a baby pink Bigger Brad in the middle of it. I also used some liquid glass to highlight the little flowers that I had stamped on the top of the card.

I have to say that this paper pack from the 2008 Fall/Winter catalog turned out to much cuter that I thought it would be. I love it when that happens. I especially loved the combination of the new Creme Brulee color with the always fabulous Twilight.
